How OTCju calculates USDT P2P rates
Where the data comes from
Prices come from the public USDT ads on the Binance, OKX and Bybit P2P markets, the same ads anyone can see on those platforms. Official exchange rates come from a public foreign exchange feed and refresh every hour.
How often it updates
We read the ads every 2 minutes, and open pages refresh their numbers every minute. If no new data arrives for 10 minutes, a notice appears at the top of the page.
How the typical price works
For each platform and direction we take the top 10 ads and use their median as that platform's typical price. The headline figure is the median across platforms. Using the median keeps one unusual ad from skewing the number.
The small-order price only counts ads that accept orders of about $300 or less, because many merchants only take large orders and their prices are not useful if you are buying a small amount.
The premium compares the P2P buy price with the official US dollar rate. A positive premium means USDT costs more on P2P than dollars at the bank rate.
What we do not do
OTCju only shows prices. We do not match trades, buy or sell on anyone's behalf, hold funds or act as an escrow. Always trade inside the platform's own order page.
